Hey man, what you need? Don’t worry, I’ll get it for you. Here ya go, here’s da review.
The Journey Down Chapters 1 and 2 are point and click adventure games. You navigate an area with the mouse, as well as interact with various NPC’s and collecting items. Each area has a different mystery to solve, and it can be difficult figuring out exactly what you need to do.
The soundtrack to each game is wonderful. They are different musical styles, but contain the same undertones and really set the atmosphere up great. I honestly purchased the soundtrack to the first one and enjoy it immensely.
Overall, I’d say that The Journey Down gets a buttered toast rating. It’s a wonderful game with a unique style, but some scenes you can see characters “floating” as well as at times it drags on a bit. The story is well written, and the music is wonderful, but it is also very challenging to figure out what to do, E.G. using a spring to grab a key because your arm is too short. If you’re looking for an adventure game however, look no further and pick these up today.
The Journey Down Chapters 1 and 2 can be purchased from the following locations:
Incidentally, all screenshots are from Chapter Two. I got too engrossed in Chapter One and forgot to take some. Sorry.
