I’ll take a large pepperoni with a side of ghoulsticks please! Oh, you don’t deliver? Guess I will!
Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy is a Point and Click adventure game. You interact with the environment with the mouse, talking with the various citizens of the game trying to solve a mystery. Each locale is pretty standard, from a hotel to a theme park.
The story is pretty standard fare. You work for a detective agency that deals with the occult. A girl shows up looking for help, and in the midst of it, your boss vanishes. You go on a journey to solve the mystery yourself and find your missing boss.
The art style is really neat, obviously pulling from its comic book inspirations. Each area has a lot of detail put in, and each one looks unique to the next. The animations are a bit clunky at times though, but that could be a frame drop.
Overall, I’d have to give Dog Mendoça and Pizzaboy a bread rating. It was a neat adventure game, but it was short, had a lack luster story, and was pretty straight forward. I recommend playing it if you find it cheap, but overall it’s pretty standard fare. I wish I had more to say, but this is no Sierra adventure.
